A Fourth addition to the M5 Stamp Line

M5Stack.com the maker of numerous Lego style modules (M5 Sticks on wheels pictured).
They recently added a part suitable for embedded computing. The M5 Stamp Pico, their smallest processor board using the ESP32. They have made is available on a reel for automated placement.
The $5 list part is available from Digikey for $5.38
Three connector options included...

The cover is in keeping with their packaging style, though it serves little purpose beside holding the pinout guide sticker.

Too small to include a USB connector, It requires a USB TTL Serial burner to flash it. Their slightly over priced developer packager included a burner interface (using a CH9102 chip), guaranteed to work. Once flashed one can wireless program it with UIflow block code,  The dev kit is packaged in a cute matchstick box.

The second stamp model, the M5Stamp C3 using the second gen single Risc processor ESP32 C3

Although it's a completely different processor, under the Espressif IDE, the C3 and esp8266 are fairly source code compatible.  The 160 Mhz C3 has radio upgrades, including Bluetooth 5.
This board includes a USB connector, so programming is a bit more straightforward.
    Sells for $6.38 at Digikey.

There is a minor variation of the Stamp C3, the C3U eliminates the USB chip, using the ESP32 built in USB interface, specs seem to indicate more USB capabilities in this version.  The White cover distinguishes this version.

The NEW MODEL due for release near late April 2022 (After certification testing)

                     The S3CAM STAMP

There are 6 GPIO pins left after dedicating a bunch of pins to the camera connector in the lower left, note the super tiny antenna in the upper-left.  Counting off 1/10" pins, I estimate the board size to be about 1.4" long, 0.75" wide.  There are M5 camera boards that lack external ram needed for advanced image processing, that 8 pin chip may be 4Mb sRam.

Another tiny ESP32-C3 Prospect:    The AI-Thinker ESP-C3-01M Module

A simplified 18x18 mm module with only18 pins, making it somewhat easier for hand assemble, (their normal surface mount module has 61 pads with 0.80mm pad spacing) I made a casual effort to locate a 1.60mm pitch edge connector sockets for this module, no luck.

The NodeMCU ESP-C3-01M-Kit Development Board would be useful for prototyping projects using the module, which is plugged in to the board.   -   Hackster write-up.

 Ai-Thinker ESP-C3-01M documents page.

The Dev board and Module can be had for $5.64 + $3.48 shipping from Aliexpress.

(Buying multiple copies makes shipping cost less painful)

This listing offers the module and dev. board separately, for when your ready to use several modules.
